Employee of the Month

Jessica Prohl is one of two UX/UI Designers in Mobile/Web Systems and serves as the head of Product Design. Her work quietly underpins many of the solutions our department delivers, most notably through her leadership of the Component Library. By championing its creation and ongoing evolution, Jessica has helped establish a foundational asset within the department’s modern technology stack, reducing development overhead, improving consistency, and enabling teams to move faster while staying user-focused.

Jessica consistently goes above and beyond, especially in major initiatives such as ReqQuest and VA Certification, pairing high design standards with collaboration and flexibility. She grounds her work in user research, prototyping, and real-world feedback, while also improving how teams work by developing tools and processes for design collaboration. Known for her empathy, positivity, and thoughtful advocacy for users, Jessica directly supports student success and exemplifies the department’s commitment to accessible, innovative, and user-centered solutions—making her a truly deserving recipient of the TR Employee of the Month award.
